My comments :

1. By far the greatest single benefit of the "lean" techniques is the focus on low cost testing of an hypothesis. This has been a hallmark of the scientific method since Sir Francis Bacon.

2. A sociology degree is the new MBA and far more useful.

3. IP is king. If you have nothing to protect, you are not in business to make money.

4. and 5. Structured creativity systems like Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) or TRIZ are replacing the inefficient, random success of brainstorming and crowdsourcing. SIT is a powerful tool that can be taught quickly and can generate workable ideas in every product or service model.
